Love every moment and BE REAL TO EACH OTHER!!
That's my feeling at the moment...really had been so numb for the last 2 years that I think that I have missed out on many special moments...even moments with you guys. Sometimes, I feel that I have not been there enough. Sorry, my dears, if at any time that you feel that I have not been there for you...It wasn't because I didn't want to but I was 'un-able' to...But I do love each and every one of you and still hope and pray all the time to see each of you grow into beautiful women of God who will shine for Him and glorify His Name with Your life... No matter what you do.
Had a lot of fun today with Chin...went to Moonlight Cinema at Botanical Garden for a final one on one in Melbourne as friends, sisters in Christ and ex-shepherd sheep....just to spend some quality time. We talked and laughed and just opened up in that beautiful atmosphere, lying on the grass of Botanical Garden. Some moments just staring into the sky as it got darker and darker. The sky was clear and beautiful. Thank you Lord for the wonderful weather. Thank you for answering my prayer for good weather cause the weather just before was quite bad.
We watched "Garden State", starring Zach Braff and Natalie Portman. Quite a nice movie. Starting was a bit "Huh?" and slow. But then as it built up, it was very meaningful while staying true to human reality and focusing on how we deal with relationships. Not your typical romance but has it's very sweet moments. Hahah...Chin and I agreed that there were many references to church and people and relationships around us.
Yesterday's Prayer Meeting...Thank You Lord for an amazing time in Your presence. Haven't felt Your presence like that in a while now...A sweet tangible lingering as He gently led us through times of healing and refreshing. The theme was REFRESHING .. EMPOWERING .. & .. ENVISIONING / ENCAPTURING. Chin worship led and Sam played. Thank you for this wonderful team You brought together who not only wore the same colours (black tops and blue jeans) but we were also able to flow together quite well. Indeed His Name was lifted up as we reflected on everything that has been the past year and learnt to release all the good and the challenges to Him..not holding on to anything so that God can well and truly fill us and empower us through the Holy Spirit.
Highlights of the night...words of encouragement from God:
- Imagine a glass of murky water. If you try to pour clear water into it, the water will still remain murky. So we need to throw out all these murky water so that God can fill us up with His refreshing water that is crystal clear.
- The fish who had lost one fin - A cute little fish began to panic when it lost one of its fin on one side. So, with just one fin, it began to flap with the remaining fin frantically to swim. As it did that, the fish began to turn round and round on one side... rolling over and over...not getting anywhere. Until it got tired of flapping and it stopped. Then only did the fish realise that there has been a current pushing it all this while. That it didn't have to flap so hard, which didn't get it anywhere, but just to gently move the fins and the current would carry it forward!!! It was a great encouragement to me.
- Give everything back to God...the challenges, hurts, disappointments, difficulties and even the good things. Acknowledge and thank God for every one of them including the challenges. Give every good thing back to God and acknowledge that it was ALL Him and none of it was us because we are only empty vessels that were used by God. All glory belongs to God. So that we will not become haughty or prideful over the "successes" we have. Even our ministries. We need to give them back to God because only in His hands can it reach its full potential. And the challenges as well...place them in God's hands and trust. If it is God's will that we continue to go through them, we need to learn to surrender to the moulding of character and life that God is putting us through to make us into the child He wants us to be.
Ok...the word for me is:
MARY!!!
Not Marry la!! Cause God said He wants me to just sit at His feet this year... :P hehehe! Sorry to disappoint you. Won't be giving out red envelopes anytime soon this year. Aiyah! If anything, it will be you guys first la! Jasmine or Chin...hehehe!
Yeah...God spoke to me to just sit at His feet this year and it confirms the things that He has been leading me to plan towards and decide to do. And the mood that I have been in...cocoon-ing on the corner of my bed with my journalS, bible, books and my iBook (blog, Flickr, Friendster, LiveJournal... hehe!)...I think that corner of the bed sunk in already. Some more I so heavy!!! hehehe!
But God's been good to me and has really been speaking into my heart and showing me a lot of things in a new way lately. Confirms one of the word for me in end 2004...Jeremiah 33:3...God will show me things I cannot imagine...great and unsearchable things. Praise You Jesus!
Yeah!!! Yesterday's movie was very fun!!! Took silly photos and even took one in the cinema. Zorro was actually quite a good movie. Wah!!! Watched more movies in one week than I have in almost half a year last year!! eheheheh!
Savour every moment and thank God for every minute we have with the ones we love...
HUGS!!!
